Regions Area Managers

JOB TITLE: Area Manager (All Regions)

COMMENCEMENT DATE: ASAP

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Management • Liaise with Mine Management at least once a week • Ensure that management reports are analyzed and discussed with mine management. • Perform store audits as per store according to audit procedures. • Ensure regular store gradings. • Monthly staff meetings must be arranged where problem areas can be discussed and resolved. • Attend all Meetings and timeously submit all relevant reports. • Meet deadlines by Area manager and staff reporting to him. • Respond to e-mail in time.              
  • Area Planning & Action Plan • Responsible for a annual action plan for the area
  • Training • Fully accountable for the Induction and training of staff. • All new staff to be fully trained and evaluated one month after appointment /Attendance register / Monthly report updated • Staff must be tested periodically in order to identify area in need of training – Monthly report • Manage and develop all direct reporting staff. • Ensure attendance at scheduled training sessions and that attendance registers are available • Most recent Packs available and used in all stores

Store Administration • Check personal sales in respect of signatures and I.D. numbers on slips. • Ensure proper handover of store to new employee. • Ensure authentic signatures are displayed in   store. • Check requisitions for valid signature and follow up on deferred transactions for status. • Ensure that transactions are filled in numerical sequence. • Assistance with basic computer problems (Hardware & Software) • Ensure filed transactions are boxed and dated by cost period. • Ensure that exceptional transactions verified (as per store audit). • Ensure proper storage of 3 months slips in store and transfer balance to Area Office monthly. • Ensure correctness and sending out of sales reports / figures and movement files to head office. • Ensure accurate stock takes

Enforce proper controls over returns to Head Office and Potch Plastics. (where applicable) • Overall responsibility of stock transfers to ensure movement of excess stock items. • Ensure stock is transferred from store to store when shortages occur  

  • Finance • Resolve payment queries. • Monthly/Month End exports. • Credit application forms for all new accounts (contractors, etc.). • Ensure implementation and management of price lists (increases and decreases) in all stores. • Assist with the handout of invoices and department collections.

 Qualifications

  • a) Matric Essential.
  • b) Tertiary Qualification  

Experience

  • a) Minimum 2 years Management Experience
  • b) Proven record of Marketing, Store Management and Sales Achievements
  • c) HR Management  
  • d) Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
