The Opportunity

This position works at Johannesburg in the Core Diagnostics Division that provides diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

What You'll Do
  • Manager Responsible for the management of order entry and distribution team for South Africa.
  • Support to African hubs and distributors were applicable.
  • Supply Chain and logistics manager for Core Laboratories ADD divisions
  • Inventory management and planning of direct customer business
  • Adhoc Tasks as required by Financial Controller specific to the role
Logistics

Major responsibilities:
  • Local Inventory Control: Manage inventory level for affiliate at the plan level.
  • Review costs in line with SLA to analyze and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Ensuring inventory is received in the country on time to meet demand.
  • Analysis of products with short shelf life and high inventory levels to minimize shrinkage
  • Review & intercompany & 3rd party stock invoices in preparation for approval for payment
  • Overseeing full inventory control function P.O. creation, GRV and QA release.
  • Reviewing and authorizing shipping files and freight delivery invoices DSV
  • Managing third party distributor to ensure KPIs are met DSV
  • Own the link between supply chain locally, manufacturers, Distribution Hub & DSV.
  • Visit customers to perform business reviews covering orders, distribution and customer service
  • Ensuring that optimal stocks are carried at all regional distribution centers to meet Plan/IBP sales in line with stocking model
Materials Management
  • Ensure item master maintenance barcodes, list numbers etc.
  • Manage communication and maintenance of stock item number changes.
  • Maintain Compliance relating to Imports, Export & Customs Duty and reviewing of tariff codes
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable local and international Abbott Policies & Procedures
Order Entry Management
  • Manages & reviews regularly the pricing file in ADOC+
  • Prepare & present monthly review of order entry statistics & DSV performance
  • Ensures all processes are documented in Desk Top Procedures for internal control compliance.
  • Managing of day to day running of customer service department
  • Review customer back orders with Customer Experience Team
  • Check and sign off all credit notes per limits of authority.
  • Ensure all credit notes, and reinvoicing is performed timeously for customer queries.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, logistics or related areas
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role having experience within the Medical, pharmaceutical or FMCG markets.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' direct line management experience
  • Experience have looked after other Africa Markets is advantageous.
