A leading Private Education provider is seeking to employ an academic advisor for Film & Photography studies to be based at their Head Office in Durban.
Job responsibilities:
- To guide and assist students through the duration of their studies to ensure that they reach their fullest potential.
- Helping students to develop effective search and study strategies
- Advise students in the optimal use of available campus based and other academic resources and services
- Direct students to other institutional resources when academic, attitudinal, attendance, or personal problems require professional intervention
- Academic Advising
- Administration
- Research and preparation for advising session
- Correspondence and reports
Job requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Film Studies.
- Knowledge of Photography - Advantage
- 0-1 year’s general or relevant experience in education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure
