Minimum Qualification Required
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics, Pure/Applied Mathematics or related field
- Have experience in predictive modelling.
- A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience within the short-term insurance industry.
- Data gathering and analysis with a focus on claims and fraud
- Development, implementation, monitoring and ongoing evolution of fraud models and claims-related models.
- Building and monitoring claim-related reports and metrics
- Collaborating and Liaising with the claims department to find new opportunities to improve operational performance, to assist with actuarial insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, coupled with a curious mind.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- A passion for driving meaningful change within the business
- Resilience and the ability to manage conflict, understanding that change may not always be embraced by all stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Python, R, and Excel applications is highly advantageous.
- Agile mindset, with a willingness to adapt to changing business priorities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
