The Road Accident Funds mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads.
Note: This is a 24-month, fixed-term contract position
Purpose of the job: The Administrative Assistant: Determination provides administrative support for the Officer, Senior Officer and Team Leader to ensure that the branch is run efficiently and effectively.
Key Performance Areas
To follow up on queries from stake holders
- Telephone calls.
- Checking correspondence.
- Sending out letters.
- Draft undertaking letters where applicable.
- Expenditure authorisation.
- Check list.
- Obtain relevant signatures in terms of the DOA.
- Request file from CAFS.
- Print all relevant emails / letters received via post.
- Placing documents on file daily.
- Draw file from CAFS.
- Update claim viewing with all relevant information.
- Request files from Assessor and ensure that it is delivered to relevant department timeously.
- Obtain file from CAFS.
- Have copies made and sent to relevant stakeholders.
- NQF 4 (Matric or Grade 12) qualification.
- Computer literacy.
- Relevant 1 year experience in a claims handling environment and administration.
