As a Retirement Fund Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining retirement fund operations. This includes processing claims, reconciling contributions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Youll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely, and efficient service while upholding Alexander Forbes values and commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
This position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to team succes
Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in retirement fund administration
- In-depth understanding of Claims and Billing Reconciliation
- Proven ability to manage fund allocations and eliminate PI claims
- Experience maintaining expenses within branch standards
- Monthly contribution reconciliations for Pension & Provident Funds
- Maintenance of member data and Section 13(a) reporting
- Processing and authorizing various claims, including bulk transfers
- Checking housing loans against provider schedules
- Preparing monthly client reports and administration reports
- Managing transfer documents and allocations
- Identifying fund changes and updating documents (rates, fees, expenses)
- Preparing year-end financial information
- Clearing emails and queries daily
- Peer review of allocated tasks
- Embracing and implementing TCF principles
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Retirement fund qualification (completed or in progress) or equivalent
- Familiarity with AF business systems (AF Online, AF Connect, Khanya) advantageous
- Strong organisational, administrative, and analytical skills.
- Initiative and good time management/planning abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
