Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of a B Sc. In Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Must be a professionally registered engineer (Pr Eng.)
- Duties will include all aspects of Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on the following:
- Design, installation and management of irrigation schemes
- Design of runoff management and soil conservation structures
- Design of agricultural structures and roads
- Design and management of agro-processing facilities
- Design of agricultural power and energy systems
- Agricultural potential assessments and feasibility studies
- Crop yield modelling
- Preparation of design reports and contract documents including technical specifications
- Supervision and management of construction
- Other Requirements
- A background in agronomy would be an advantage.
