As a Retirement Fund Administrator, you will manage end-to-end fund administration processes, including claims, reconciliations, and reporting. This role requires a multiskilled professional with strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all types of claims and Section 14 transfers
- Monthly contribution reconciliations for Pension & Provident Funds
- Maintain member data and ensure Section 13(a) compliance
- Prepare and check administration reports, benefit statements, and monthly reporting
- Handle tax directives, home loans, and single premium transfers
- Perform bookkeeper reconciliations and daily switches
- Clear emails and queries promptly
- Train junior staff and assist in process improvement
- Embrace and implement Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)principles
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Retirement fund qualification (completed or in progress) or equivalent
- Familiarity with AF systems (AF Online, AF Connect, Khanya) advantageous
- Minimum 3 years experience in retirement fund administration
- In-depth understanding of fund liquidations
- Strong knowledge of Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to manage complex processes and meet strict deadlines
- Decision-making and planning under pressure
- Strong organizational and diary management skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to present in client meetings and training sessions
- Leadership and accountability for fund portfolios
