Job Purpose
- Vector Logistics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data and Analytics Manager to lead our Finance Shared Services Data & Analytics function. This is a strategic role within our Business Intelligence team, aimed at driving our vision of becoming an Insights Driven Organization (IDO).
- Youll be responsible for designing and executing a robust data strategy, delivering automated and standardized analytics solutions that empower smarter, data-driven decision-making across the business. This role offers the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technologies and collaborate across internal and external teams to transform raw data into actionable insights that fuel growth.
Insights Driven Organization
- Collaborate with the IT Executive to develop and implement a data strategy aligned with
- Vector Logistics IDO vision.
- Solve complex data challenges, including establishing a single source of truth, managing master/reference data, and defining organizational data processes.
- Design and evolve a fit-for-purpose data & analytics technology stack that supports key business initiatives and adapts to industry innovations.
- Lead, mentor, and support the Business Intelligence team.
- Provide consistency in reporting through report standardization and data source automation.
- Develop intuitive reports and dashboards that enable self-service data access and drive performance insights.
- Partner with business users, analysts, data scientists, and tech teams to maintain and enhance analytics solutions across platforms and data sources.
- Ensure continuous improvement, accuracy, and adoption of analytics tools through collaboration and feedback.
- Champion data governance and guide executives on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies, data governance standards, and PoPIA regulations.
- Deliver projects in line with established methodologies and control frameworks.
- Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and project budgets within departmental constraints.
- Ensure timely and effective business support through SLA adherence.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics.
- Post graduate qualification is advantageous.5+ years in Analytics or Business Intelligence (Finance experience is a plus).
- Expert in Data Management Frameworks and SQL.
- Strong understanding of OLAP, ETL processes, and database management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
- Skilled in handling large datasets and data visualization across industries.
- Experience with Azure and working with developers.
- Knowledge of data warehouse design, data engineering, and data mining.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
