Section Engineer Production

Come and join this dedicated team as a Section Engineer Production where you will be responsible to provide operational service to the Senior Engineering Manager, with a 1-year planning horizon. The role ensures effective and safe movement of men, ore and material in the vertical/decline/horizontal shaft/haulage/plant and the associated maintenance and construction linked to the Operational Area of responsibility. The Section Engineer is a 2(1) appointment in terms of the OHS Act.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Recommend

• Maintenance of assets
• Site specific standard
• Budget

Input

• Major shutdowns

Decide:

• Plant projects (within limit of authority)

Execute:

• Legal compliance responsibilities
• Manage plant rotables
• Carry out 1st ,2nd and 3rd line maintenance at plant.
• Plant projects
• Manage movement of materials and waste.
• Construct, install and maintain electrical, mechanical and instrument equipment.
• Maintain equipment operational/control systems

This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Engineering Manage

Qualifications

• Engineering related degree BSC Engineering
• Government Certificate of competency (Factories - compulsory)
• Government Certificate of competency (Mine and Works - advantageous)

Experience

• Five years post Engineering qualification experience

Knowledge And Skills

• Basic computer literacy
• Proficiency in English
• SAP
