Applications Support Senior Manager

The Organisation requires the services of a Senior Manager: Application Support in the Chief Operating Officer's division.

Required Qualifications And Experience

Be in possession of ICT Technical degree/ B-Tech/ Honours degree.
Should have an ITIL / COBIT Certification.
Should have experience managing software development and Operation & Maintenance teams responsible for a business application portfolio of small, medium and large-scale systems/applications using industry recognized delivery methodologies (e.g. SDLC, Agile, and their hybrids).
Should have software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience must include managing detailed software requirements, design, coding, unit testing, integration, build and release management, and the creation and maintenance of associated documentation.
Should have experience with supporting open-source applications and an understanding of web technology.
Should have experience in managing or developing cloud-based applications.
Should have extensive experience in a senior role within a professional ICT environment planning, installing, maintaining, and supporting business applications.
Should have experience of supporting business application systems and an understanding of their architecture.
Knowledge of SLA formulation and monitoring.
Working knowledge ITIL principles.
A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists.
Working knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, JavaScript, and Web technologies.
Knowledge IT systems Risk Management.
Knowledge of IT governance (CobiT) principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Extensive problem solving and debugging skills.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Adaptable and flexible to business demands.
Project Management Skills.
Proven leadership skills and ability to manage onshore/offshore development staff that ranges from Junior to Senior level.
