Junior Assessor-070-053

The Operations Department has a vacancy for 10 x Junior Assessors to be appointed on a fixed term contract basis in the Eastern Cape (Gqeberha regional office) to independently conduct Cold Chain Inspections or Services according to standard protocols, work instructions and procedures as prescribed through PPECBs legislative mandate.

Job Description

• Inspect and certify perishable products
• Inspect the handling, storage and transportation of perishable products
• Perform administrative tasks
• Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcomes of decisions
• Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance framework

Job Requirements

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Experience in working in a cold store or Packhouse environment
• Specialist competency in container loading normal and temperature monitoring.
• A valid code EB/ 08 drivers license with own reliable transport is an added advantage
• Computer literacy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good numerical acumen
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends and public holidays
