Our client is looking to employ Group Asset Reporting Service Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checking all queries are either explained satisfactorily /corrected by the effected business areas as relevant.
- Organise and analyse large quantities of data as per requests from stakeholders.
- To maintain a high level of technical competence in the areas of IFRS and FSCA reporting.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of investment products and client mandates to present meaningful analysis and information on request
- Facilitate the identification of errors through reasonability checks
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and adherence to deadlines in terms of compiling and providing reporting in terms of Service Level Agreements and Group reporting deadlines.
- Interpret the attributes of all new financial instruments to ensure correct accounting in terms of IFRS as well as correct classification for reporting to the various statutory bodies.
- Consistent application of the MMH Group policies for enrichment of instrument data.
- Responsible for updating JDE and other relevant accounting and reporting systems with relevant investment related data.
- Complete IFRS7 related working papers in agreed format to all legal owners on GIS platforms.
- Provide credit ratings on S&P national scale in agreed format to all legal owners on GIS platforms.
- Tax related administrative functions: CGT, S24J, DWT
- IFRS10 and related functions:
- Complete the Fund Consolidations in accordance with agreed scope and the IFRS7 working papers and supplementary packs for the fund subsidiaries.
- Complete selected consolidation packs on IBM consolidation tool, eg Controller, in accordance with pack instructions and Group Investment policies and guidelines.
General
- Audit liaison with internal and external audit during interim and year end reporting periods.
- Functional/ user acceptance testing of all relevant systems as and when required.
- Documenting processes and procedures.
- Data/Client query resolution.
- Active involvement with various strategic initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant B-Commerce degree Chartered Accountant

- In-depth understanding of financial instruments
- Understanding of asset management administration systems
- In-depth understanding of IFRS7 and IFRS10 as well as general accounting practices around investment assets/financial instruments
