Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Maintenance Manager, located at Cathedral Peak Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, overseeing repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the functionality of equipment. The role also includes supervising maintenance staff, managing maintenance schedules, tracking inventory, and ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and team members.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance tasks
- Experience in Maintenance Management and Equipment Maintenance
- Strong Supervisory Skills with the ability to coordinate and oversee a maintenance team
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards
- Background in hotel or hospitality maintenance is an advantage
- Relevant qualification or certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred
