Assistant Mechanic

VACANCY: HEAVY EARTHMOVING MECHANIC ASSISTANT
Location: Dura Equipment Sales Rustenburg, North-West
Were growing our team at Dura Equipment Sales Rustenburg, North-West and are looking for a Hardworking Mechanic Assistant to support our workshop and field service operations. If you have a passion for heavy machinery and want to grow your mechanical skills in the earthmoving industry, this is your opportunity!

Responsibilities:

• Assist qualified mechanics with servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment (excavators, loaders, graders, etc.)
• Prepare tools, parts, and assist with diagnostics
• Clean, inspect, and help maintain workshop machinery
• Record basic service details and assist with inspections
• Follow workshop safety procedures at all times

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems (advantageous)
• Physically fit and hands-on
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Proficient in Afrikaans

Advantageous Experience:

• Previous work with earthmoving machinery or in a mechanical workshop
• Familiarity with brands such as LOVOL, CAT, Komatsu, JCB, Bell, etc.
• Drivers license (advantageous)
