Depot Assistant

Job Title: Depot Assistant
Location: Killarney Gardens, Cape Town

We are seeking a responsible and observant Depot Assistant to help maintain a controlled, well-managed depot environment. This role plays a key part in overseeing site access, maintaining order within the yard, and supporting safe depot operations at all times.


Key Responsibilities
Overseeing access to the depot, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles are permitted entry
Recording and monitoring site activity in line with company procedures
Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-controlled yard, ensuring standards are upheld
Remaining alert to unusual or unauthorised activity and escalating concerns appropriately


Additional Duties
Assisting with tasks outside of normal daily responsibilities when required, including tank assistance and other operational support activities.


Shift Pattern
This role requires flexibility and includes a combination of day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts, based on operational needs. Shifts are on a 12 hour rotation.


What Were Looking For
A reliable and vigilant individual with a strong sense of responsibility
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures consistently
Confidence working independently, particularly during quieter shifts
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and duties
Previous experience in depot, site monitoring, or controlled-access environments is an advantage, but not essential
