We are looking for a skilled and dedicated barista to join our team, someone who values craftsmanship, consistency, and great customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Espresso Preparation - Dialing in espresso, pulling consistent shots, and ensuring high-quality extraction throughout the day.
- Milk Texturing & Latte Art - Steam milk to the correct texture and temperature, create high-quality latte art, and ensure the presentation meets our standards.
- Brewing & Coffee Knowledge - Preparing pour-overs, batch brews, and other manual brewing methods as required, with a strong understanding of extraction principles.
- Customer Engagement - Providing excellent customer service, taking orders, answering questions about coffee, and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
- Equipment Maintenance - Keeping grinders, espresso machines, and other coffee equipment in peak condition by following regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Stock & Caf Management - Monitoring inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring all workstations are clean and well-organized.
- Opening & Closing Duties - Assisting with daily setup and breakdown of the caf, ensuring the space is ready for service and maintained throughout the day.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and various brewing methods.
- Ability to dial in espresso and adjust variables to maintain consistency throughout the day.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Passion for coffee, with a willingness to learn and grow in the industry.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well as part of the team.
- Availability to work four days a week, including weekends.
