- Assembly of hydraulic hoses as per customer requirements and to CATERPILLAR hose information system specifications
- Adherence to contamination control requirements
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Ensure machinery is in good working condition and calibrated as per factory specification
- Accountable for keeping of hose assembly register
- Ensure that work areas are maintained clean and hazard free at all times
- Receive hose requirements / specifications from parts and service sales liaison
- Verify against HIS to validate correct specifications / requirements
- Pick loose parts dependant on plant specific layout and process
- Select correct hose and cut to specification
- Tag hose with correct information
- Seal and despatch as required
- Sign off hose assembly in hose register
- Build hydraulic hoses per sample as and when required
- Providing assistance in other areas within the warehouse as and when required
- Grade 12
- Certified hydraulic hose assembler will be an added advantage
- Previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly advantageous
- Working knowledge of all supplied fittings and their use
- Working experience with MS Office / ERP systems
