We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of BI Technical Lead. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, driving the design and development of BI solutions using the Microsoft BI stack, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure top-notch performance and usability. With your 8+ years of experience in a technical lead capacity, proficiency in SSIS, T-SQL, data warehousing, and SSAS, you will have the opportunity to shape and optimize the BI landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership, collaborating with the team through knowledge sharing and mentoring initiatives.
- Ensure development aligns with architectural guidelines by engaging with software architects regularly.
- Collaborate with developers, designers/analysts, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals.
- Review code to ensure adherence to standards and maintain a robust codebase.
- Drive the implementation of technically sound and compatible solutions, prioritizing usability, reliability, and security.
- Optimize technical throughput rates, responses, and resource utilization within the team's processes.
- Thoroughly test solutions before deployment, establishing standards and processes for testing within the team.
- Deliver technically appropriate solutions with comprehensive documentation and support materials.
- Implement quality mechanisms for fault analysis and proactive resolution.
- Foster future development and modification by designing solutions that support scalability and reduce defects.
- Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced team performance and company success.
- Address technical challenges promptly, showing foresight to prevent errors and delays.
- Proactively acquire and apply new knowledge and skills to improve product and system performance.
- Ensure best practices, tools, and technologies are employed in development.
- Coach and mentor team members to build specific knowledge and skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a technical lead role.
- Strong experience in end-user report development and proven expertise in SSIS for ETL.
- Hands-on experience in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining complete BI Solutions.
- Proficiency in T-SQL development, query optimization, and debugging.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing, and the Kimball data warehouse lifecycle.
- Expertise in data warehousing, including fact tables, dimensions, indexing, table partitioning, and data migration.
- Advanced experience in creating and maintaining multidimensional cubes using SSAS.
- Relevant management certification may be required.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
