Desktop And Server Support

ROLE PURPOSE

Attend to all IT related calls logged (Desktops, laptops, printers, network)

MAIN OUTPUTS
  • Attend to all IT related calls logged (Desktops, laptops, printers, network)
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT policies and procedures to enhance system Security and efficiency
  • Basic Domain administration functions for user management
  • Software installations, Configurations and Support and training to end users
  • Pro-active support of all assets (printers, desktops, notebooks and telephones) to ensure optimal availability
  • Assist in Asset management keeping IT Asset List up to date (printers; desktops; notebooks and telephones)
  • Monitor system performance proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Regularly test and update backup procedures for data integrity and conduct successful recoveries.
  • Troubleshoot software issues promptly to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Basic Network support on all switches and devices
Qualifications / Requirements / Knowledge / Skills / Experience

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
  • CompTIA Network +, CompTIA A+
  • MCDST Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
  • Grade 12
  • Code 08
  • 3 years or more years in a Windows desktop and network environment
