Executive NTN (Nuclear/Safety Professional)
Our client is a highly skilled nuclear and radiation safety professional who is committed to providing for the protection of persons, property and the environment against nuclear damage. Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Requirements:
- MSc (NQF Level 9) in Natural Science
- Minimum of 10 years regulatory/nuclear industry experience with at least 8 years management experience
- Management qualification
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the NNR Act, Regulatory Philosophy, IAEA Technical documents and standards
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Attention to detail
- Negotiation skills
- Leadership skills
- Self-driven
- Critical thinker with strategic insights
- Management and oversight of all regulatory decisions for the division including reviews, assessments, inspections, compliance assurance, enforcement etc
- Recommend decisions and relevant conditions for applications for nuclear authorisation, recatergorisations and surrenders to the CEO and Board
- Propose amendment of conditions of authorisation as appropriate
- Staffing of the Division and all human resource management related activities such as team management, development,
- motivation and coaching of staff
- Provide strategic direction and monitor performance of the Division
- Risk, Audit and Legal Compliance management in the work of the Division
- Develop, propose and review the budget of the Division
- Information storage and retrieval in line with organisational policies
- Develop appropriate policies and processes to facilitate consistent discharge of the work of the Division in line with the companys integrated management system
