Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee financial records
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies
- Prepare and assist with external audits
- Provide guidance on best practices for financial management
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Support Ad-Hoc administrative tasks as required
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies and improve processes
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, AAT) is a plus
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is advantageous
