Junior Bookkeeper | Durban | Remote

Our client, a leading UK-based digital agency, providing innovative and cutting-edge solutions to their clients, is looking for a Remote Junior Bookkeeper to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and must possess advanced Excel and Xero skills. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. The candidate is required to have their own laptop and a stable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the company using Xero
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Handle payroll and employee expense reimbursements
• Monitor and track company expenses
• Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and payments
• Maintaining accurate company ledgers
• Administer daily cashflow
• Debtors Management.
• Use Excel and other tools to streamline financial procedures and administration.
• Ad hoc duties as required by the management team

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Xero (Must have advanced Excel working with formulas and pivot tables)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits

• Salary: R10000 - R15000 per month depending on experience
