Brand Manager CASF & Analgesics

Purpose:

• To actively contribute to the growth of the Allergy and Cough, Cold, Sinus and Flu (CCSF) and Pain portfolio in Southeast Africa through the development and execution of strategies that will drive both sales and profitability in line with global strategies and company policies

Scope (global, regional or local):

• Regional - South East Africa

Key Tasks:

• Lead the implementation of cluster category strategies in the Country Group (Southeast Africa); adapt supporting material to facilitate execution of the strategy.
• Responsible for the sales and profit development of the assigned Brands within the Country Group including market share development.
• Lead development of yearly multichannel activation plans to reflect local specificities and needs (e.g. medical detailing).
• Leads advertising / marketing communication agencies and internal LMR partners to localize cluster-marketing-materials to local requirements.
• Manages and controls the promotion and information (P&I) budget relating to all marketing activities for the assigned brands.
• Input with local expertise and insights into the development of short to mid-term cluster activation strategy for the respective category, as well as the short term, mid-term and long-term innovation pipeline.
• Monitor and control category, competitive development, launch execution and tracking within the country group.
• Provide regular updates of category and brand views and developments, including recommendations on how to improve or further accelerate brand performance.

• Advertising Agency, Media Agency, Research & design, BTL& Digital Agencies, Pharmacists, Trade Customers

Skills & Qualifications:

• University degree, preferably a marketing degree

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years brand management experience of which at least 3 years in pharmaceutical field or FMCG field; OTC/FS/Cosmetics experience. (Mandatory)
• Sales Experience is mandatory
• Launch experience, developing strategies and implementing tactics in successful OTC brands' launches.
• Proven track record of strong execution and results.
• Creative thinker (e.g. experience in developing innovative marketing programs/campaigns; use of multichannel tactics).
• Financial and budgeting skills and experience.
• Strong leadership to effectively lead own and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication/presentation skills
• Strong customer-focused mindset and results-oriented attitude.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand the mechanisms of the market and customer needs.
• Capacity to assess and select relevant information from the market.
• MS Office advanced
