About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Brand Manager for a fast-growing pharmaceutical organisation.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for handling the brand management activities for Africa market. It shall provide strategic direction to the business with reference to marketing practices which are cutting-edge and world class.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize & drive short, medium and long term marketing plan and business strategies for Africa market.
- Responsible for Analyzing internal and external data, conducting primary and secondary research, Setting Brand Objectives and Formulating Brand Strategies - Positioning, Segmentation and Targeting. Brand Mix, Action Plans
- Responsible for ensuring Growth, Market Share as per the objectives defined. Analyzing the brands performance through internal and external data, identifying issues, validating the strategies and course correction if required.
- Responsible for Budgeting and Sales Forecasting Product History, Market Opportunity Analysis, Setting Financial Objective (primary & IMS) for the Brands as per the divisions needs, preparing the promotional budget as per the marketing plan.
- Driving implementation of Strategy for Power and Focus Brands. Process summary of all marketing activities every month during Brand Ops Meeting
- Conducting market intelligence prescription audit to identify prescribers
- Responsible for new product launches and developing long range planning
- Responsible for medical and marketing training for the field staff
- Maintaining Sales/Expense Ratio Marketing Tracker
- Coordination among various internal & external stakeholders e.g. Regulatory, Finance, Demand Planning, Logistics, External vendors.
- Frequent field visit / KOL visits, franchise building and competition update. Train sales team towards scientific promotion, campaign briefing.
Bachelors in Science / Pharmacy and Masters Degree in Marketing / International Business
Experience
At least 10 plus years of experience in Marketing. Exposure in pharmaceutical marketing specific to dermatology is added advantage.
