Customer Service Specialist

This is a hybrid position allowing flexibility for a combination of in-office and at-home work.

Responsibilities

As the Customer Service Specialist, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant and meaningful contribution to the success of BSI and its clients through the following core job responsibilities
  • Analyze, review, and resolve open benefit eligibility/client inquiry activities within the assigned time frame
  • Maintain and master the Zywave online management software process for all eligibility/client inquiry activities
  • Answer and conduct phone calls and emails to/from clients, carrier and physician offices
  • Implement and carry out weekly eligibility update meetings, working closely with the Customer Service Manager on any issues
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all client benefit portfolios
  • Manage and follow the customer documentation process to ensure accurate records of all issues, concerns and outcomes
  • Assist other BSI team members as needed
  • Review and prioritize workflow on a daily basis
Qualified Candidates Should Possess
  • High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of benefits customer service experience
  • Fluent in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to present professionally via phone and written communication methods
  • Ability to establish a rapport and build relationships with clients and vendors
  • Exceptional active listening skills
  • Strong computer skills inclusive of the MS Office Suite. Prior experience with Zywave Brokerage Builder preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while working in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Self-starter with the willingness to learn and work independently
