This position is accountable for producing the following result:
The position manages the implementation and delivery of a contract/s against safety, time, quality and cost standards ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability. In addition, the position provides technical input and design and construction solutions for sites.

Operational Work:
1. Undertake the implementation of company procedures and project objectives on specific sites.
2. Establish the project construction programme, information and long-lead schedules
3. Brief professionals, sub-contractors and site staff on the programme and distribute briefing in writing to all relevant parties
4. Monitor, measure and mark-up progress in programmes biweekly and timeously implement corrective action where progress does not meet expectations and targets
5. Establish and manage the Project Quality plan in accordance with project and policy requirements and ensure appropriate implementation thereof and compliance thereto
6. Receive, study and oversee the distribution of all information on a project
7. Establish, monitor and implement company policy and procedural requirements for recordkeeping, maintenance and monitoring of Site records
8. Hold regular minuted meetings with sub-contractors reporting on:
a. Progress and programme updates
b. Status of workshop drawings/design approvals
c. Scope of Works
d. Claims and cost issues
e. Detailed planning for next period
9. Hold regular meetings with site staff covering the following:
a. Labour, plan and material requirements
b. Progress and programme updates
c. Detailed planning for the next period
d. Staff responsibilities and movements on site
e. Productivity and cost report feedback
f. Quality control procedures and checklists
g. Non-conformance reports
h. Cost of non-conforming product (establish cost)
i. Report back on information flow
j. Appointed sub-contractors and specific sub-contract requirements
k. Health and safety issues and
l. General administration
10. Prepare and display productivity and progress charts in the office to assist and ensure daily monitoring.
11. Practice sound labour (IR) relations within the approved legislation and conditions of service with regard to staff.
12. Ensure consistent implementation and compliance of subordinate staff and staff on site to Insight Construction policies, procedures and practices.
13. Maintain a critical mass of staff ensuring effective staff retention.
14. Establish a positive work context for subordinate staff.
15. To ensure all health & safety and quality procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to
