An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development: Solutions Manager to assist in the development of business in his/her area. Contributes to the long-term planning and market strategies as well as technical product development requirements. Makes initial client contact and interprets the clients' requirements. Co-ordinates the use of in-house personnel for the compilation of tenders for submission to the clients and follows up with the client.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: Transport management/Logistics Management/Economics Engineering Diploma/Degree
- Experience in a similar role: Up to 5 years
- Develop end to end supply chain solutions
- Understand the customers needs
- Analyse existing operations and identify problem areas and where efficiencies can be improved
- Perform GAP analyses - Business process re-engineering
- Calculate and plot warehouse layouts
- Calculate optimal staffing and MHE requirements
- Calculate optimal fleet configurations
- Create budgets for the solution using complex financial models
- Document proposals
- Present solutions to the customer
- Manage national projects
- Take projects from conceptual design to implementation and handover to operations
- Develop a project plan
- Report on project progress
- Lead a project team/s
- Sharing IP Managing quality of outputs
- Ensuring deadlines are Achieved
- Documenting case studies
- Initiate and manage new projects
- Scoping of projects, resourcing, timelines, costs and outcomes
