Job Title: Business Operations Intern
Location: Woodmead, Johannesburg
Program Duration: This internship is a 12-month program starting 1 April 2026.
Eligibility: This internship is open to graduates who have not previously participated in an internship or held a permanent role for over 12 months.

Purpose of the Role
As a Business Operations Intern, you will assist the Sales Operations Manager in streamlining daily operations, ensuring data quality, and improving the productivity of the sales force. This role focuses on managing sales pipeline health, providing system and tool support, and supporting the Business Operations and Sales teams to drive operational efficiency. You will also work closely with sales management, pre-sales teams, and sales representatives to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
What You Will Do
- Assist the Sales Operations Manager in streamlining operations and workflows.
- Monitor and manage sales pipeline data quality and health, ensuring accuracy in weekly forecast updates and consolidation for both commercial and public sector sales teams.
- Ensure forecast accuracy and linearity, maintaining consistency between Sales Reps and Sales Managers' reports.
- Extract and analyze weekly reports to track deal updates and pipeline health for sales representatives.
- Participate in weekly Commercial and Public Sector Sales meetings, tracking deal updates for the current and upcoming quarters.
- Attend Account Planning sessions with Sales Reps, take minutes, and conduct research on customer financials to support account plans.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales teams and Sales Reps to address tasks and improve sales productivity.
- Complete relevant Oracle certifications to enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Provide administrative support to the Business Operations Manager and broader team.
- Attend customer and partner meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Minimum: B.Com in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, IT, or Informatics.
- Desirable: B.Com or BSc in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, IT, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
- Ability to grasp and learn new concepts quickly.
- Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Highly organized with strong administrative abilities, self-driven, and able to meet deadlines.
- Eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine interest in technology trends and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is mandatory.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
