Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x Buyer.
The main purpose of this role is Sourcing for local/central, Platform & Project teams, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Infrastructure.
This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.
YOUR ROLE:
- Deploy commodities strategy
- Ensure project execution in line with QCD objectives
- Pilot contractual relationships with suppliers for his/her scope
- Identification of project and business needs
- Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
- Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
- Setup contracts with suppliers based on agreed prices, leadtimes and labour rates
- Active participation to commodity strategy and panel laboration
- Closely work with sourcing project representatives (Project Sourcing Manager, etc)
- Business school or relevant qualification in purchasing
- Minimum of three years working experience in purchasing
- Continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)
- Team management (capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of teams)
- Advanced negotiation skills
