Position Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Buyer / Storeman / Stock Controller with a  strong background in the electrical field. This role is crucial to our operations, acting as the key link  between our technical staff and our suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding  of electrical products and terminology, excellent supplier relationship skills, and a proactive  attitude towards stock management and procurement.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

Procure electrical components, tools, and materials as requested by technical teams 
Interpret technical requests with accuracy and offer suggestions where appropriate 
Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical suppliers to ensure the best pricing,   availability, and support 
Monitor inventory levels and ensure critical stock is always available 
Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate records 
Receive, inspect, and organize stock in the storeroom 
Liaise with site and project managers to forecast stock requirements 
Implement and maintain stock control systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste 
Assist with sourcing alternative products when necessary, using your product knowledge 
Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations

Key Requirements: 

Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical industry 
In-depth knowledge of electrical products, tools, and materials 
Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications 
Strong organizational and time-management skills 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
Competency with stock management systems 
Full competency on the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook 
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities 
Team player 
Drivers license (preferred)
