I want a permanent truck driving job. I like driving I enjoy it, I have code 10 drivers license, I'm a hard worker Im used to work on weekends, public holidays, I was a truck driver for Malulwabe Company, but I was driving local Ive never travel but I would like to get a job that can make me travel going out working hard for a company. I have over 20 years working experience as a driver and general assistant. I worked as a workshop mechanic at Beetle Mania when I left school. Shortly after I started working at UTi Sun Couriers where I started as a warehouse assistant but was promoted to HDS Driver, then to Mounties Driver and then promoted again to regional courier driver and I worked from 7am to finish weekdays to Saturday and Public Holidays if needed. I was retrenched from Sun Couriers, but was able to find a part time job at Red Pepper Properties Renovations as a Site Foreman which kept me going until I was able to get a permanent job with a better salary at Kromberg & Schubert as a maintenance department assistant. I was able to gain valuabe experience while working there where I was trusted to carry on with my assigned work because the Maintenance Manager felt I was competent in my skills. After Kromberg & Schubert I started working from home, but took on part time work as needed to supplement my income. This has kept me going inbetween my part time work at Grim Cycles. I have always been a fast learner and believe that learning new skills in a workplace is ongoing. I don't sit and wait for someone to tell me what needs doing as I am always looking for work that needs to be done and aam willing to assist wherever needed to help the company and prove that I am an asset. I have recently assisted Tharratt & Freitag Cartage as a TLB load operator and yard assistant during their strike. I had to load all the vehicles coming in with the TLB and then also climb onto the top of each vehicle to level it out. I had only ever used a hyster before at Sun Couriers, but I learnt to use the load operator in about 15 minutes and had the first truck loaded and out the yard. I am more of a hands on worker and enjoy using my skills in the wokplace. I am hoping to be given the opportunity to prove that I am an asset.
