- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business salespeople, relationship managers, and clients to meet credit requirements and drive growth.
- Project Management: Lead projects and initiatives to reconfigure workflows and drive departmental growth.
- Experience: Extensive experience in intuitive/judgemental credit, financial statement analysis, and risk management.
- Senior Management: 3 years experience at senior management level and 7 years experience in credit management.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, with a CEO-like behaviour and a good grasp of credit assessment.
- Application of relevant credit and risk legislation in an organisation (NCA, CPA, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, etc.)
- Impact of regulatory bodies (BASA, SARB, SACCRA, NCR, and FIC) on the functioning of an organisation.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to regions, with subordinates based in Johannesburg.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of credit principles and practices.
