Chassis Engineer - (PA 1294)

Responsibility for the integration, evaluation and release of chassis components for local projects, including Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) requirements.

• The resolution of design related problems on manufactured platforms (ability to problem solve complex components).
• Supporting local, SSA and European supplier base with manufacturing and process improvement recommendations, thereby ensuring integrity of parts supplied.
• Project management of components under your responsibility, ensuring that chassis components are timeously introduced into production within the specified time and cost parameters.
• Preparing technical feasibility studies, cost analysis of components, systems and projects.
• Creating and tracking development timing plans.
• Evaluation and implementation of the VW Group design changes.
• Maintenance of Technical Data Systems for chassis components.
• Assist with line and quality problems, special investigations, etc.
• Evaluation and implementation of Product cost optimisations.
