Job Advert Summary

Hello an exciting new opportunity has just become available at IUA, a subsidiary of Hollard Holdings (80%) and Yellowwoods Trust Investments (Pty) Ltd (20%). IUA is looking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Based in Umhlanga Kwa Zulu Natal.

Purpose of the Role

The CEO has overall accountability for the ongoing effective functioning and profitability of the

business; delivering shareholder, customer, and employee value.

The CEO is to lead the development and the execution of IUAs short- and long-term strategy in line.

with its mission and values.

The role reports to the Board, with specific KPIs to align with the Hollard Group.

Key Responsibilities

To steer and empower the leadership team to translate the vision and strategy into

implementable short- and long-term plans, with aligned KPIs and deliverables.

To drive responsible and profitable growth of the business - leveraging Hollard, as well as outside

of Hollard.

To manage relationships with existing partners and to develop new business opportunities.

To prudently manage business investments, with due regard for impact/benefits and return on

investment.

Ensure that the business is appropriately organised and staffed, with a focus on talent management, transformation, and succession planning, particularly at senior management level.

To manage the relationship with the Board and to champion effective corporate governance throughout the organisation.

To assess the principal risks of the business and to ensure that these risks are being monitored and managed.

To ensure that effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.

To ensure that the business maintains high standards of corporate citizenship, ethics and social responsibility wherever it does business.

To communicate effectively with employees, customers, authorities, and other stakeholders.

To drive Customer Experience and Digitalisation and its alignment to IUAs team processes and

strategy.

To keep abreast of all material undertakings and activities of the business and all material external

factors affecting the business.

To abide by internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with applicable laws and

the companys standards and policies.

Any successful candidate not based in Durban must be willing to relocate.

Required Knowledge And Experience

Competencies

Strategic business development and leadership.

Financial services knowledge and experience.

Business Process Outsourcing knowledge and experience.

General business process, information systems, and operational and project management.

Finance, HR, Governance, Customer Experience, Compliance and Risk management.

Experience And Attributes

8-10 years in a senior management role, in a medium sized entity, preferably in the financial

services industry.

5 years heading up a services business, preferably in BPO.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership ability: track record of having led and developed high performance teams.

Strong business development ability: track record of initiating and securing profitable business.

Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Aptitude and dedication to thrive in a dynamic and agile environment.

General business acumen.

Educational Requirements

Post-Graduate Commerce Or Finance Qualifications.

An MBA would be advantageous but is not essential.
