Job Purpose
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the development, execution and optimisation of SafetySAs technology strategy across the group, including AssureCloud and SafetyCloud. The role requires a strategic, innovative, and hands-on technology leader who ensures the alignment of IT systems, digital transformation initiatives, and operational technology with organisational goals.
The CIO will serve as a key member of the Executive Committee and will play a central role in steering SafetySAs digital transformation journey, strengthening IT governance, enhancing customer experience.

- Develop and implement a group-wide digital transformation strategy aligned to business goals.
- Identify and leverage emerging technologies to support competitive advantage.
- Prioritise technology investments that support growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of digital tools and solutions that enhance customer and internal user experiences.
- Provide strategic technology leadership to the executive team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within IT and the broader organisation.
- Monitor global technology trends and introduce innovative solutions to the business.
- Champion disruptive technologies that enable modernisation and transformation.
- Engage hands-on in IT operations, systems, and project execution.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with IT teams.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of IT processes, systems performance, and operational efficiencies.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
- Align IT strategy with stakeholder needs and organisational vision.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Act as a change agent to drive technology adoption and manage organisational resistance.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, applications, systems and security.
- Implement and maintain robust IT governance frameworks, policies and compliance controls.
- Ensure adherence to data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, and technology procurement.
