Role Description
This is a full-time, appointment in our Civil Department in the Cape Town office for a Civil Engineer / Technologist. Key responsibilities include designing, planning, and managing civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role involves technical analysis, preparing detailed engineering drawings and documentation, collaborating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes. Additionally, the role may include site inspections, contractor coordination, and reporting project progress.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in civil engineering concepts, structural design, and project planning
- Competence in AutoCAD, Civil Designer, and other relevant design software
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Strong technical problem-solving ability and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client engagement skills
- Organizational and time management skills for managing project deadlines
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- Professional registration or eligibility to register with a relevant engineering body is preferred
- Prior experience in infrastructure projects is an advantage
