Clearing Agent:
Our freight transporting client, based in the Industrial Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, is currently recruiting for an on-the-ball Clearing Agent. The suitable candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric.
- Must have own vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
- Essential: Previous experience dealing with Border Documentation.
- Beneficial: Experience working on EasyClear and/or Assycuda.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for exporting documents.
- In charge of invoice administration regarding the receipt, copying, and distribution.
- Manage the declaration of all road transporting documentation.
- Responsible for submitting border documentation to SARS customs.
- Tasked with preparing and verifying the manifest, VAT payments, and permits for Drivers before departure.
- Manage and resolve Driver or document queries during transport or border checks.
- Implement knowledge of Namibian border control documentation.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative and client services.
- This position will be reporting to the Depot Manager.
