The OpportunityTwo Nomads Communications is a boutique creative agency based in Johannesburg, operating across Africa. We specialize in brand experiences, storytelling, and high-end activations for global brands (Beauty, Luxury, Lifestyle).
We are looking for a Junior Communications & Project Coordinator(freelance contract) who is obsessed with digital trends, has a sharp eye for aesthetics, and possesses the organizational skills to keep our projects moving.
Your Responsibilities1. Project Management & Logistics Support:
- Assisting in the end-to-end execution of brand activations and campaigns.
- Order Management : Coordinating and dispatching client orders, press kits, and gifting (ensuring everything is perfectly packaged and delivered on time).
- Tracking project milestones and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Managing supplier relationships (printers, decor, catering) and logistics.
- Preparing project status reports and internal briefs.
- Managing content calendars and identifying trending formats (Reels/TikTok).
- Writing flawless, "on-brand" copy for social media and newsletters.
- Capturing content to ensure the "Nomad magic" (Reels/TikTok).
- Lead Generation: Identifying and researching potential new clients and partners.
- Pitch Support: Assisting in the creation of compelling sales decks and creative proposals.
- Networking: Representing the agency at local events in Johannesburg to build a network of prospects.
- Database Management: Keeping our CRM/prospect list updated and following up on initial inquiries.
- Acting as a support point for clients, preparing meeting minutes, and updating project trackers.
- Ensuring all brand touchpoints remain premium and consistent with our high standards.
- Experience: 02 years in Communications, Marketing, or Coordination.
- Project Mindset: You enjoy structure, checklists, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
- Social Media Savvy: You understand how to build a "vibe" on/offline and have a strong sensitivity to visual storytelling.
- Writer at Heart: Flawless English (professional emails and creative captions).
- Organized & Proactive: You dont wait for a "To-Do" list; you see what needs to be done.
- Tech-Friendly: Comfortable with Google Workspace, Canva, and social media management tools.
