Role Description
The Compliance Manager Long-Term Life Insurance will be responsible for ensuring organisational compliance with regulatory requirements and policies within the insurance sector. Core responsibilities include developing and maintaining compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, performing audits, and monitoring legislative updates. The role also involves advising internal teams on compliance matters and preparing reports for both management and regulatory authorities. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pretoria, South Africa.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance policies, and risk management within the insurance industry
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role
- RE1 and RE5 qualifications
- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English
- Proven ability to conduct compliance audits and implement corrective measures
- Strong capability to monitor legislative changes and align internal policies accordingly
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and advisory purposes
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with the FinTech industry will be advantageous
- Relevant tertiary qualification in law, compliance, business, or a related field; compliance certification preferred
