Winners is an established medium sized Cash & Carry and Supermarket business located in Mitchells Plain. We are urgently looking for a computer technician to manage our IT infrastructure.
Job requirements:
- Permanent full time position
- Requires the person to work a minimum of 45 hours per week
- Involves weekend work and public holidays.
- At least 2 years experience as a computer technician
- Problem solving ability
- Be trustworthy, reliable and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong planning, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to work under pressure
- Be professional at all times
Job responsibilities:
- The person will report directly to the IT Manager
- Investigate complaints from Cashiers, Supervisors and Managers w.r.t POS hardware and software; conduct tests; resolve problems
- Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests
- Connect POS machines and peripherals
- Liaise with POS software Company’s Support desk to solve problems
- Helpdesk Support
- Maintenance of equipment
