The Key Purpose of this role is to execute and manage AB InBev companys long and short-term business strategies in line with AB InBev structure, policies, and company culture, drive business expansion across functions, lead the management team and own the responsibility for the country P&L, while guiding (distribution partner) sales teams and building sustainable competitiveness for achieving volume growth, market share growth, and AB InBevs brand power.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and deliver on KPI's through AB InBev's Global Governance implementation
  • Develop and implement the companys business plan to meet and exceed targets
  • Formulate, monitor, execute and interpret the country P&L, budgets, operating expenses, and capital investments.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term Revenue Growth Management strategies
  • Lead the country management team and facilitate integration and communication between all functions within the business
  • Mentor direct and indirect reports, especially regarding our values and vision
  • Liaise with and deliver on required reporting to Expansion Head Office and AB InBevs Commercial Strategy Office
Act as the Head of the Commercial/Sales function which includes:
  • Develop and implement the Route to Market strategy and work across the regions to develop and execute channel and promotional execution strategies
  • Grow team capabilities to manage and develop national and regional account customers
  • Build superior knowledge and understanding of the market including shoppers, consumers, customers, categories, and competitors
  • Manage and implement sales trackers, targets and incentives
  • Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships
  • Build strong relationships with local key stakeholders including but not limited to the government, media and surrounding medium to large businesses
  • Provide commercial inputs into the business S&OP process, create company LE
Develop strategic business plans
  • Compile quarterly operational sales plan in relation to the 3-year business plan
  • Develop annual Commercial Plan
  • Determine annual budget requirements
  • Provide merchandising and signage support
  • Establish sound business relationships
  • Achieve predetermined sales volume and market share targets
  • Maintain product quality
  • Comply with AB InBevs credit policy
In Trade Execution
  • Implement annual Commercial Plan
  • Manage general fridge placement & asset verification
  • Coordinate/execute draught plan / listing underperformers & removal of underperformers
  • Coordinate/execute BTL plan
  • Coordinate/execute KA promotional plans in Trade
  • Coordinate/execute promotional planning & Implementation monitoring
  • Coordinate/execute Signage plan
  • Conduct Trade Audits: Weekly (measuring team's impact in the trade)
  • Define and execute the Pricing Strategy
Opportunity Assessment
  • Drive to exceed quotas within assigned territory while supporting overall strategic growth objectives and budgets
  • Prepare action plans and schedule to identify specific targets and to project number of contacts to be made within a defined region and against agreed orders targets; follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Identify sales prospects and contacts these and other accounts as assigned
  • Develop new and incremental contract business
  • Persuade customers to stock products
  • Co-ordinate shipping schedules and delivery of products
Availability
  • Ensure products/brands are available widely in assigned territory
Promotion
  • Develop and supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion activities
  • Prepare for and attend exhibitions, regional, and national promotional opportunities
Sales Standards & Execution
  • Develop and update knowledge of Company's and competitors' products and speak with other sales and marketing personnel to work out the best methods of promoting products
  • Utilize competitive information and marketplace data where appropriate to close orders
Monitoring (of prices) at the retail outlets
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals; reports on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity
  • Maintain sales records and up to date activity on progress to provide accurate forecasting reports
Reporting
  • Give timeous feedback regarding competitor activity & execute plans set forth

  • Work with Expansion Head Offices Logistics, Supply, Finance, and Commercial teams on streamlining reporting and monthly business cycle

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor/master degree or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years management experience
  • Management experience at senior levels
  • Extensive FMCG experience, AB InBev Product & Industry knowledge advantageous
  • Fluent in both local official/business language and English
  • MS office skills
  • Negotiation certification is advantageous
  • Six Sigma certification advantageous
  • Agile / SCRUM certification advantageous
