We seek an experienced and inspirational Creative Director to lead the creative vision, team, and output for our client. This senior leadership role blends strategic thinking, creative excellence, and team managementfocused on delivering standout work for one of South Africas most respected financial brands.
As Creative Director, youll oversee concept development, campaign delivery, and brand expression across all touchpoints. Youll manage a growing team of creatives while collaborating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure all work is strategically sound, beautifully crafted, and commercially effective.
Role Requirements
- Set and uphold a high standard of creative excellence across campaigns, platforms, and brand work.
- Lead the ideation and development of campaigns and digital experiences that elevate RMBs brand in the financial services and B2B sectors.
- Translate complex financial and investment concepts into accessible, compelling creative storytelling.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior clients and partners within RMB.
- Act as a strategic creative partnerchallenging briefs, identifying opportunities, and shaping impactful creative responses.
- Collaborate with strategy, data, and media teams to ensure ideas are insight-driven and platform-relevant.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team including copywriters, designers, art directors, and motion specialists.
- Identify team gaps and lead the hiring of top creative talent to support ongoing growth and evolving client needs.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture with a focus on craft, innovation, and delivery excellence.
- Oversee team resourcing, workflow prioritisation, and performance development.
- Own the creative delivery process from brief through execution across digital, social, film, content, and experiential formats.
- Guide quality control across all outputsensuring creative cohesion, technical accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Partner with production and delivery leads to ensure efficient and timely rollout of creative assets.
- Creative agency or integrated marketing environment experience.
- Proven experience leading creative work for financial services, investment, or B2B brandswith a clear understanding of the nuance and strategic complexity required.
- A strong portfolio showcasing digital-first campaigns, brand building, and content-rich experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, scale, and structure a creative team for high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders, navigating feedback, and maintaining creative integrity.
- Deep understanding of digital, content, and platform-based creative thinking.
- Excellent communication and presentation skillswith confidence presenting to C-suite audiences.
- Passion for craft, innovation, and meaningful storytelling.
