Were seeking a passionate, visionary creative AI Intern to join our growing AI Hub in Cape Town. Reporting to the Global Lead Post Producer & AI Innovator, you will immerse yourself in real-world, high-impact projects blending machine intelligence, creative content, and storytelling. This is a hands-on opportunity for a current student or recent graduate driven to shape the future of media and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to research, test, and implement the latest AI tools into video, static workflows and creative projects
- Assist in the ideation, prototyping, and deployment of AI-generated assets, including video, audio, copy, and visual content
- Support the production and evaluation of entries for the AI x Film Competition, and participate in live content creation and problem-solving
- Analyze, document, and present findings on AI trends, tools, and creative best practices
- Proactively explore and suggest innovative applications of generative AI for branded storytelling and audience engagement
- Support workshops, brainstorming sessions, and other creative activities within the team5pm AI Hub

What We're Looking For
- Current (under)graduate or recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., Multimedia, Computer Science, Film, Digital Media, Design, Communications, or a related discipline)
- Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, creative technologies, machine learning, or generative media
- Experience with at least one creative or AI software/tool (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, generative image/video/audio tools, ChatGPT, RunwayML, Stable Diffusion, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, highly creative environment
- Portfolio or examples of AI-assisted media, generative art, or creative coding projects
- Familiarity with video editing, animation, or sound design
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, JS) or scripting for creative applications
- Awareness of trends in digital content, creative tech, or the evolving AI landscape in media
