Credit Controller

Astral is a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer with an exciting opportunity available for a Credit Controller to join their Debtors Team.

Qualifications

• Matric or relevant credit management qualification
• Accounting degree will be an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience
• FMCG exposure in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Managing of all the Claims, queries and payments on accounts
• Reconciling and balancing of Rebates
• Managing of all blocked orders
• Opening and Maintaining accounts
• Reviewing credit limits.
• Attending to all written and telephonic queries
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting including age analysis, reconciliations, processing and performance measures
• Weekly and monthly balancing of accounts
• Processing payments
• Compiling electronic statements
• Debtor related administrative functions
• Adhere and maintain the 20 keys model in the department

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Must be able to work independently
• Must be prepared to work overtime when necessary
• Computer literacy with advanced MS Excel
• Fluent in English and an additional official language
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to meet pressurized deadlines and maintain
• Strict attention to detail
• Personal and Professional Integrity
