Purpose Statement
- To diversify the risk of loss through bad debts and optimise profits through effective execution of credit portfolio reporting and management across the Capitec Business Bank credit portfolio.
- To interact with other areas of the bank and acting as a catalyst in ensuring compliance with agreed risk parameters as set out in the Banks strategy and contained in the credit risk appetite schedule.
- At least 8 years relevant Credit risk management experience across Personal and Business markets in a bank which includes:
- 5yrs general credit management
- 3yrs accounting
- Stakeholder management at all levels, guiding and influencing to manage credit risk.
- Credit risk appetite formulation and credit portfolio management experience for a lending portfolio in a bank.
- Contributing and providing input into credit management strategy.
- Honours Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Accounting - Management Accounting
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Business knowledge and acumen
- Credit Risk management, including the application of a credit risk framework
- Understanding of Project Management methodologies and processes
- People and relationship management principles and practices
- Broad knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial management
- Credit risk management experience across the key drivers of credit portfolio performance (financial reporting, provisions, risk appetite tracking, risk profile analysis).
