Shaun Jacobs

As a qualified Turner Artisan with 10 years of working experience I have gained extensive experience on Fitting, conventional lathes as well as cnc turning centres attached with live tooling, cnc machining centres, & cnc vertical & horizontal boring mills throughout my career. I specialise in Mazak, Fanuc, Syntec and Haas control panels as well as Edgecam CAD / CAM. I possess drafting skills as well. I have manufactured a diverse range of components within production and jobbing machine shops. My pro efficiency is on TURNING.

I have manufactured components for industries related to: Pumps, Hydraulics, Mining, Locomotives, Forestry, Injection Moulding, Press Tools & Wear resistant bushings and Linings.

I have been in charge of tool and insert requisitioning, job planning, process of machining, implementing and maintaining SOP’s, hazard Identification and dealing with customers. I have been on Standby duties tending to breakdowns.

I maintain good housekeeping and apply the Kaizan 5S Philosophy.
