Type: Onsite in Cape Town North
Salary: Up to R70 000 ctc pm
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the interpretation of data analytics spanning various functional areas to uncover meaningful trends and insights that facilitate informed decision-making.
- Gather data analytics requirements from functional departments and contribute to the timely delivery of reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Continuously identify and propose enhancements to reporting methods and techniques as per the evolving needs of the business.
- Forge close partnerships with system managers and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with the company's systems strategy and the execution of the Data strategy.
- Support the overall Data strategy of the business by actively contributing to key milestones and deliverables within defined timelines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred certification in Power BI.
- 2-3 years of experience in report writing, with expertise in crafting statistics and data visualizations relevant to the business's functions.
- 2-3 years of data analysis experience, including the ability to interpret business trends and discern potential opportunities or risks.
- 2-3 years of practical experience working with Power BI.
- 2-3 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Preferred experience with BI tools such as Qlik and Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar coding/scripting techniques.
- A sound grasp of retail metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with the economic landscape within South Africa.
- Understanding of retail business systems.
- Strong coordination and persuasion skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Expertise in Business Intelligence visualization practices.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Ability to translate business analytics requirements into detailed specification documents.
- A talent for identifying trends through data analysis.
