Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise architecture and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Design compelling technology solutions in alignment with the business strategic objective and requirements.
- Define, integrate, and upgrade a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
- Ensure solutions are designed as per business requirements and as per enterprise IT standards; with minimum and agreed variance from functional and technical specifications.
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
- Defining the data architecture framework, standards and principles, including modelling, metadata, security, reference data.
- To provide modelling, design, development, preparation, implementation and optimization of data.
- Document security requirements and controls for protecting information, systems, and technology assets.
- Provide technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
- Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships (government, authorities and agencies) to ensure achievement of organisational goals. Implement remedial actions where required.
- Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Plan, schedule, supervise and coach subordinate activities within processes or services to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
- Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
- Matric - Essential
- Bachelor's Degree Information Technology - Essential
- Certificate Recognized architecture framework (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF) - Advantageous
- 3 years Operational Experience Data and Transformation architect
- MS Office - Advanced
- Attention to detail
