We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to join our client based in the Winelands. Responsibilities:

• Utilize MS SQL Server, MySQL, BigQuery, Power BI, Tableau, and other similar tools to effectively manage data and support reporting functions.
• Create aggregated tables and views to facilitate report building for data analysts and Finance teams.
• Enhance database performance and reliability to ensure prompt query responses.
• Administer database security measures and configure user permissions.
• Prioritize automation and self-service capabilities for business users.
• Foster close collaboration with suppliers, IT teams, and data analysts to implement high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

The position is hybrid and requires you to be in the office 3 days a week.
